The Consumer Confederation of India (CCI) is India’s largest and most established network of voluntary consumer organizations (VCOs), working to strengthen consumer rights, promote fair trade practices, and build a transparent marketplace. Formed on May 6, 2001, at the Constitutional Club in New Delhi, CCI was created with a clear objective: to unify consumer organizations across India and champion consumer protection at every level of governance.
Dr. Anant Sharma is a nationally and internationally recognized consumer protection leader with over forty years of dedicated work in strengthening India’s consumer rights ecosystem. Known for transforming the consumer movement from a limited awareness effort into a nationwide mass movement, he currently serves as the National Chairman of the Consumer Confederation of India (CCI), the country’s largest network of consumer organizations.
